Regional Education Services Managers (full-time)

 

Barobo is in a high-growth stage and is seeking Regional Education Services Managers in the Orlando/Tampa, Florida region and the Indiana/Ohio region.

 

Responsibilities

  • Aggressively and effectively promote Barobo’s products and curriculum to school districts in the region and bordering states via phone calls, emails, and online and in-person demos

  • Initiate, develop, and manage relationships with district superintendents, assistant superintendents, math directors, STEM directors, and principals

  • Provide professional development for teachers

  • Manage quotes and orders with school districts and provide customer support

  • Perform other related duties as assigned in a start-up environment

 

Qualifications and Requirements 

  • At least 3 years of experience teaching math, CS, or CTE at the high school or middle school level

  • Experience in C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, MATLAB or any text-based programming language

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • A fast learner and self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative and can run with ideas and projects

  • Extensive traveling within the region is required

  • Excited to be in an entrepreneurial role on the growth of the business with a huge societal impact

  • Experience leading professional development for teachers a plus

  • Robotics experience a plus

  • Must possess US work authorization


Salary: $45,000-60,000 plus commission and bonus

Production Internship (part-time, paid)

 

Barobo is seeking an intern to assist in the production of Barobo robots and related products. This is an opportunity to gain experience ​in a start-up environment.​

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret process instructions, work orders, and reports

  • Solder electronic boards for small robots

  • Assemble mechanical components

  • Test product functional performance to ensure conformance to specifications

  • Pack packages with electronic and plastic components

  • Handle the shipment of robots and related products

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

  • Perform other related duties as assigned in a start-up environment

Qualifications and Requirements 

  • University student status (open to all majors)

  • Ability to work efficiently

  • High attention to detail

  • Self-motivation

  • Experience with soldering is a plus

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

  • Must possess US work authorization

Sales Internship (part-time, paid)

 

Support sales of innovative robotic systems with Barobo, a start-up robotics company developing educational robotics based in downtown Davis. This paid internship presents the opportunity to assist in Barobo’s sales strategy and process and gain account management and inside sales experience. 

Activities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Learn about Barobo and its products and use that knowledge to educate our customers on how we solve their problems

  • Make phone calls and send emails to prospective customers in schools and school districts

  • Discover new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls and emails

  • Attentively listen to customer feedback and provide insights to the Barobo team on customers and how to modify the sales process

  • Research and identify potential contacts in school districts and counties

  • Update marketing and sales contacts in spreadsheets and documents

  • Track responses to emails, phone calls, and other marketing efforts

  • Answer email and phone as needed for customer support

 

Skills/Requirements/Experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • High degree of organization and self-motivation 

  • Energetic, persuasive, flexible, and desire to work in a fast paced environment 

  • Must be US citizen or permanent resident

 

Preferred Level

  • Undergraduate: sophomore, junior, or senior

  • Previous sales and/or customer relations experience is a plus
