Account Executive (full-time)

Locations: Atlanta, GA; Philadelphia, PA; Columbus, OH

 

Sales • OTE $120K • Full-Time

 

Barobo is in a high-growth stage and is seeking remote sales team members who are passionate about making a difference in the lives and futures of K-12 students. In this role you will target key school and district district decision makers to provide solutions that accelerate student success toward district initiatives. Territory management will focus on identifying and initiating new business opportunities while developing existing customer relationships. The ideal candidate is driven and organized, with strong communication and interpersonal skills and an understanding of the educational sales process.

 

This is a full-time remote position for candidates based in one of three metropolitan areas: Atlanta, GA, Columbus, OH, and Philadelphia, PA. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Target new/existing customer base to drive new product sales, aligned to marketing and regional sales strategies

  • Cultivate new relationships, educate prospects, and ultimately drive new sales to exceed revenue targets

  • Conduct webinars, sales presentations, and perform calls and emails necessary to develop a strong relationship with prospects

  • Follow sales cycle from inception to close and implementation

  • Create an ongoing plan for prioritization of customer calls, emails and scheduled appointments to drive sales pipeline advancement, accurate forecasting and quota achievement

  • Effectively maintain and grow knowledge of accounts, Barobo offerings, and key trends in education to develop credibility among customers and internal colleagues

  • Collect and analyze information and prepare data and sales reports

  • Attend industry events and conferences to build relationships and promote the company

 

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in technology/educational sales, or 2+ years in education in math and CS or related subjects, and with demonstrated capabilities to transition into an education sales role

  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software and Google office suite

  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills, with experience presenting to customers

  • Knowledge of sales techniques and market research strategies

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers

  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills

  • Time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Flexibility and adaptability to change

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, math, CS, or related field

  • Located in Atlanta, GA, Columbus, OH, or Philadelphia, PA metropolitan area

  • Must live no more than 45 minutes from a major airport

  • Requires 25-50% travel to customers

Math with Robotics Curriculum Intern (part-time, paid)

​

The Math with Robotics Curriculum internship presents the opportunity to learn from and assist in Barobo’s curriculum development process for K-12 math education. 

​

Activities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist in the process of curriculum development for standards-based K-12 mathematics education

  • Use block-based programming and virtual and hardware robotics to develop lessons and activities that boost students’ understanding and achievement

  • Perform other related duties as assigned in a team environment

​

Skills/Requirements/Experience

  • Background in mathematics, statistics, engineering, or physical science

  • Interest in K-12 STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) education

  • Programming experience (at least one significant text-based programming course or equivalent)

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • High degree of organization and self-motivation 

  • Energetic, persuasive, flexible, and desire to work in a fast-paced environment 

  • Must be US citizen

Preferred Level

  • Undergraduate: sophomore or junior

  • Previous sales and/or customer relations experience is a plus

Robotics Production Intern (part-time, paid)

​

Barobo is seeking interns to assist in the production of Barobo robots and related products. This is a paid internship and an opportunity to gain experience in a start-up environment.

​

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret process instructions, work orders, and reports

  • Solder electronic boards for small robots

  • Assemble mechanical components

  • Test product functional performance to ensure conformance to specifications

  • Pack packages with electronic and plastic components

  • Handle the shipment of robots and related products

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area

  • Perform other related duties as assigned in a team environment

Qualifications and Requirements 

  • University student status (open to all majors)

  • Ability to work efficiently

  • High attention to detail

  • Self-motivation

  • Experience with soldering is a plus

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

  • Must possess US work authorization

Sales Intern (part-time, paid)

​

The Sales internship presents the opportunity to learn from and assist in Barobo’s sales strategy and process. 

​

Activities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Learn about Barobo and its products and use that knowledge to promote Barobo products and educate our customers on how we solve their problems

  • Make phone calls and send emails to prospective customers in schools and school districts

  • Track responses to emails, phone calls, social media, and other marketing efforts

  • Assist in creating quotes and fulfilling and shipping orders

  • Answer questions and communicate with customers via phone and email

  • Assist in managing inventory and fulfilling orders

  • Perform other related duties as assigned in a team environment
