Director of Sales for K-12 Education (full-time)

Location: Davis, CA

 

Barobo is seeking a hands-on Director of Sales for K–12 Education to lead sales growth and help build the next stage of our K–12 sales organization.

This is a player-coach role for an accomplished sales professional who can personally develop and close significant school, district, and state-level opportunities while building a strong pipeline, expanding existing accounts, and establishing effective sales processes.

The Director will work closely with Barobo’s leadership, learning and curriculum, marketing, product, and operations teams. Barobo will provide comprehensive training on RoboBlocky curriculum, software, robotics, and implementation models. We are looking first and foremost for a strong sales professional who knows how to identify opportunities, build relationships, navigate complex K–12 sales cycles, and close business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute Barobo’s K–12 sales strategy to drive revenue growth.

  • Develop new business with school districts, schools, state education agencies, charter schools, private schools, and other education organizations.

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of new and expansion opportunities.

  • Personally manage major opportunities from prospecting and discovery through presentations, proposals, procurement, negotiation, and closing.

  • Build relationships with superintendents, district administrators, curriculum and instructional leaders, math and STEM/CS leaders, expanded learning leaders, principals, and other decision-makers.

  • Understand customer needs, budgets, purchasing processes, and timelines and coordinate Barobo resources to develop effective solutions.

  • Expand existing accounts across additional schools, grade levels, teachers, and programs.

  • Coordinate with Barobo’s learning and curriculum teams on pilots and curriculum evaluation opportunities.

  • Conduct virtual and in-person presentations and product demonstrations.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline, CRM, sales forecasts, and account plans.

  • Collaborate with marketing on webinars, conferences, campaigns, and customer success stories.

  • Supervise and mentor student sales interns supporting prospecting and lead generation.

  • Help develop Barobo’s sales processes and team as the company grows.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned in a team environment.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 5+ years of relevant sales, business development, or educational partnership experience in K–12 education, EdTech, curriculum, or instructional technology sales.

  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, building pipeline, developing customer relationships, managing complex sales cycles, and closing business.

  • Experience selling to K–12 schools, districts, and/or education agencies is strongly preferred.

  • Experience developing and closing six-figure opportunities is strongly preferred.

  • Strong consultative and solution-selling skills.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

  • Experience with CRM, pipeline management, account planning, and revenue forecasting.

  • Self-starter who is comfortable personally prospecting, following up, and closing business.

  • Strong sense of urgency with a bias towards action.

  • Experience selling curriculum, educational technology, mathematics, CS/STEAM, robotics, or related education solutions is a plus but not required.

  • Knowledge of K–12 purchasing, procurement, budgeting, funding, or curriculum adoption processes is preferred.

  • Existing California school district relationships are a plus.

  • Ability to travel to schools, districts, conferences, and other education events.

K-12 Computer Science Education Specialist (full-time)

Location: Davis, CA

 

Barobo is seeking a K–12 Computer Science Education Specialist to join our learning and curriculum team in Davis, California. This position will serve as a subject-matter specialist in computer science education, with a strong focus on C programming, curriculum development, coding and robotics, and teacher professional learning.

 

The Specialist will develop K–12 computer science curriculum and instructional resources, conduct hands-on professional development for educators, and support schools and districts implementing RoboBlocky programs. The Specialist will also be trained across the RoboBlocky Math, Computer Science, STEAM, and Expanded Learning curricula to provide introductory professional development and implementation support across programs.

Barobo is seeking an Education Partner Experience Manager to support our growing K–12 education business. In this role, you will help schools, districts, and teachers successfully engage with Barobo’s math, computer science, STEAM, and robotics programs while also supporting quotes, orders, licenses, program administration, outreach, and partner communications.

The Education Partner Experience Manager will play an important role in ensuring that schools, teachers, and district partners receive timely, helpful, and professional support across the full customer and partner experience.

Production and Operations Coordinator (full-time)

Barobo is seeking a hands-on Production & Operations Coordinator to join our team at our production office in Davis, California. The Production & Operations Coordinator will oversee day-to-day production and operational activities, including robot production, quality control, supply chain and component sourcing, inventory management, packaging, order fulfillment and shipping, RMA processing, and related operational and accounting activities.

 

The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, technically inclined, and comfortable working across multiple functions in a growing company. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving practical problems, improving processes, working with both people and products, and helping scale production operations.

 

Experience or training in mechanical, industrial, electrical, manufacturing, or related technical areas is valuable but a college degree is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee production of Barobo products and coordinate order fulfillment using CRM, inventory, and accounting systems.

  • Work with the supervisor to develop and maintain an effective supply chain management system, monitor inventory and component stock levels, and address potential shortages.

  • Coordinate sourcing and purchasing of components, materials, packaging, and other production supplies.

  • Manage quality control processes and identify, document, and resolve production defects and inefficiencies.

Senior Software Engineer, Web Applications (full-time)

Barobo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for technology and education. This person will be responsible for leading architecture, design, and development for Barobo’s main web-based integrated learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build, refine, and maintain the full-stack web application for the RoboBlocky platform (www.roboblocky.com).

  • Utilize a variety of programming languages, web development tools, database technologies, cloud services, networking and security tools, and AI tools.

  • Assist in monitoring and optimizing real-time product performance.

  • Significant working experience with PHP, Node.js, HTML, CSS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, nginx, and Linux, as well as front-end technologies (e.g., React) and cloud hosting technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
