Students collaborate while each creates their own program to control a different part of a robotic system. Together, they apply distance, speed, and time to coordinate the system’s movements and actions.

Why Intervention?

Middle School Is a Critical Time to Strengthen Math Foundations

Middle school is a critical period in students' academic journeys—a time to address gaps in mathematical understanding, strengthen essential concepts, and build the confidence students need before entering high school.

Strong mathematics foundations in middle school help prepare students for success in Algebra, Geometry, higher-level mathematics, science, computer science, and other high school coursework, as well as future college and career pathways.

RoboBlocky Math gives students another way to experience mathematics through engaging, hands-on learning with coding, manipulatives, virtual and physical robots, and real-world problem solving.

Help students strengthen their Math foundations before high school—without replacing your district's core Math curriculum.

Intervention Curriculum

Flexible Curriculum Options

Schools and districts can select and combine curriculum based on students' learning needs, course structure, and instructional goals.

Robotics Fractions
Upper Elementary and Middle School (Grades 5-6) • One Trimester

Robotics Pre-Algebra
Middle School (Grades 6–8) • One Semester

Math Exploration with Coding and Robotics
Middle School (Grades 6–8) • Full Year

RoboBlocky Math — Grades 6, 7 & 8
Standards-aligned grade-level mathematics curriculum that can be used for intervention and supplemental instruction.

STEAM and Computer Science with Robotics
Selected activities can reinforce mathematics through coding, robotics, engineering design, and problem solving.

Schools and districts can use these curriculum options individually or combine them to meet local student and program needs.

Implementation

Flexible for Your Schools and District

RoboBlocky Math can support different intervention structures and schedules, including:

Dedicated Math Intervention Courses • MTSS • Math + Computer Science/Robotics Courses • Supplemental Math Support • Expanded Learning • Summer Programs

Intervention can also be structured as an engaging Math + computer science or robotics course, giving students the experience of an elective while intentionally strengthening the mathematics they need for future success

Schools can use the RoboBlocky Math Intervention and Enrichment Curriculum, regular RoboBlocky Math, selected STEAM and Computer Science with Robotics activities, or a combination based on student and local program needs.

For students who need substantial support with foundational mathematics, Robotics Fractions (Grades 5–6) can also be used for intensive summer intervention.

Start with One School. Scale Districtwide.

Fontana Unified School District has sustained middle school RoboBlocky Math intervention through MTSS across all district middle schools since 2018, serving more than 1,000 students annually.
